Production of plastic products
my country is a big producer of plastic products. In recent years, the output of plastic products in my country has fluctuated slightly. The data shows that the output of plastic products in my country declined in 2018 and 2020, of which 2020 was mainly affected by the epidemic, and the output of plastic products dropped from 81.842 million tons in 2019 to 76.032 million tons in 2020. In 2021, the output of plastic products will be 80.04 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.9%. The latest data shows that from January to July 2022, the output of plastic products in my country reached 44.432 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.1%.
Regional distribution of plastic products
The data shows that my country's plastic products industry is mainly concentrated in East China and South China. In 2021, the output of plastic products in East China will be 36.9626 million tons, accounting for 46.2% of the output. The output of plastic products in South China accounted for 20.4%. The output of plastic products in Central China and Southwest China accounted for more than 10%, 12.6% and 10.9% respectively. The output of plastic products in North China, Northwest China and Northeast China is relatively small.
At present, my country's plastic products industry is relatively concentrated in Zhejiang, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Fujian, Anhui and other provinces, of which the total output of the top five provinces accounts for 69%, forming a regional representative of the Yangtze River Delta and Zhuhai Delta. Industrial clusters, adjacent to or partially overlapping with upstream and downstream industry manufacturing centers, have the dual advantages of locational economic development and industrial support, which will further strengthen the industry leading position of advantageous regions and promote the development of industrial agglomeration in the direction of clustering.
