Ningbo International Conference and Exhibition Center is a large-scale modern exhibition venue invested and constructed by the Ningbo Municipal Government. It is the core exhibition area of Ningbo International Trade and Exhibition Center. It is located in the center of Ningbo Sixth District, and is the core area of the New City Business District in the east of Ningbo. It has convenient transportation. It is only 5 kilometers away from the entrance of Shanghai-Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway and Ningbo-Taiwan-Wenzhou Expressway; 18 kilometers away from Beilun Port, the second largest port in China, and directly connected to Hangzhou Bay. The Sea Bridge is only a 2-hour drive from Shanghai, the Chinese metropolis.

Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center covers an area of 44.4 hectares, with a total construction area of 140,000 square meters. It is mainly composed of 8 surrounding conventional exhibition halls, administrative buildings, conference buildings and other ten major buildings. It can provide nearly 5,000 international standard booths. Each exhibition hall is independent and connected to each other, forming a functional pattern that can be separated and combined, which can meet various exhibition activities of large, medium and small.

There is a large convention and exhibition plaza in front of the main entrance of the south gate of Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center. On the central axis of the plaza stands a 72-meter-high arrow-shaped landmark tower known as the "Dinghai Shenzhen Needle". The magic needle sticks straight into the sky and contrasts with the bow shape of the main exhibition hall, indicating that the development of Ningbo Convention and Exhibition Center will take advantage of the momentum.

At present, the total investment of the first and second phases of the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center is 1.04 billion, and Ningbo International Trade Investment Development Co., Ltd. is mainly responsible for the development, construction, management and operation of the entire Ningbo International Trade and Exhibition Center. Ningbo International Trade Investment Development Co., Ltd. (referred to as SDIC) was established in February 2006. The SDIC has a registered capital of 1.8 billion yuan and total assets of 3.2 billion yuan. Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center is operated and managed by Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of SDIC.

Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center is a window to showcase Ningbo's economy, culture, history and development level. Since it was completed and put into use in 2002, it has successfully hosted more than 300 domestic and foreign exhibitions, Zhejiang Investment and Trade Fair, and China International Consumer Goods Expo. The successful holding of large-scale well-known exhibitions, such as Ningbo International Clothing Festival, China Food Expo, Higher Education Equipment Expo, China Pharmaceutical Machinery Expo, has attracted great attention in the industry and has become a popular exhibition hall in second-tier exhibition cities.
