Why is silicone foam one of the core materials for battery sealing?

Do you know? The battery seal of the flying car actually hides a big world!
When flying cars drive from science fiction films into urban airspace, the sealing of power battery packs is no longer as simple as "no leakage".

It must resist kilometer-level instantaneous pressure differentials, high-frequency maintenance and disassembly, millimeter-level narrow-edge design, and aviation-grade flame retardant requirements. Traditional sealing solutions are stretched thin at this point.
At this time, silicone foam can come in handy, Taiya silicone foam with the innovative design of "repeatedly removable elastic sealing ring", which not only makes up for the traditional shortcomings, but also brings breakthrough advantages, escorting the safety and lightness of flying car batteries.

The ultra-narrow seal of Taiya TY-600 silicone foam achieves an ultra-narrow sealing ring of 5mm through the extrusion foam process, which is far lower than the 10mm lower limit of foam, which perfectly fits the compact space design of the battery compartment of flying cars, and the sealing line width is compressed by more than 60%.

It is also the "lightweight king", with an ultra-low density of 550kg/m³ and a single-piece sealing ring weighing < 0.1kg, helping the whole vehicle to reduce weight. Every 1kg reduced increases the flight time by 3 minutes, and the battery life anxiety is easily solved.
In terms of safety, Taiya TY-600 silicone foam has a two-dimensional safety shield: flame retardant up to UL94 V - 0 level fire barrier, which can block the thermal runaway spread of the battery; Excellent insulation performance, volume resistivity > 10¹²Ω·cm, and 4.5kV/mm electrical strength, eliminating the risk of high voltage breakdown.

It is very stable in extreme environments and can maintain stable performance in the full temperature range of -55°C to 200°C (SAE J - 2236), regardless of the severe cold at an altitude of 10,000 meters and the high temperature of the battery. It resists compressive deformation < 5% (100°C/22h), and after 10,000 take-off and landing vibrations, the elasticity remains the same, and the seal remains the same.
Taiya TY-600 silicone foam is also highly adaptive to dynamic sealing, with a 150kPa rebound stress (25% compression) and intelligent compensation for assembly tolerances.
The water absorption rate is <3%, and condensation is eliminated. The air tightness is 2 times higher than the traditional solution, and it is more secure to fly at low pressure.
